HERZ Thermiq RADEX BAT is a programmable, surface (wall) mounted smart internet temperature controller powered by batteries (2 x AA batteries). It is engineered for energy-efficient management of radiator or underfloor heating systems. It supports both heating and cooling modes and utilizes ZigBee 3.0 / RF 868 MHz wireless communication technology.
Being completely battery-powered, it does not require a 230 V mains power supply, enabling straightforward installation anywhere in the room without building alterations or running cables.
Wireless control of radiator heating:
-
HERZ Thermiq Connect (Internet Gateway): The central hub for creating the ZigBee wireless network. It enables control and monitoring of all connected devices via the HERZ Thermiq smartphone app.
-
HERZ Thermiq RADEX BAT: The essential component for efficient room temperature management. Measuring ambient temperature away from the radiator ensures superior living comfort and energy savings.
-
Direct synchronization (offline mode): RADEX BAT can wirelessly sync directly with electronic radiator heads (such as Thermiq HeatCap) without requiring an internet gateway or network. A single thermostat can control up to 6 radiator heads in the same room.
-
Online mode: When paired with the internet gateway, it enables full remote temperature and schedule management via the mobile app.
-
-
HERZ Thermiq MultiSwitch / Relay modules: For wireless control of the heat source (e.g. gas boiler or circulation pump) via a direct volt-free link.

Wireless control of underfloor heating:
RADEX BAT connects wirelessly to the wireless wiring centre (FloorHub Wireless) via the binding function. The thermostat maintains the desired room temperature by enabling or disabling the assigned heating zone on the wiring centre, thereby actuating the thermal actuators on the manifold.
Key features:
-
Offline wireless control: The direct binding feature allows reliable communication between the controller and receivers (wiring centres, modules, relays) even during an internet connection outage.
-
Customizable schedules: Ability to program 4 time periods per day with independent temperature settings, including simple schedule duplication across days of the week.
-
Additional features: Keypad lock (with optional PIN code), configurable minimum and maximum temperature limits, temperature display calibration (offset), valve protection function (Anti-stop), and frost protection.
