Material and construction:
  • Body: forged brass acc. to EN 12165
  • Spring: spring steel 1.4310
  • Diaphragm: EPDM
  • Upper part: PA6
  • Internal threaded connectors: according to standard ISO 228-1

Operating data:
  • Outlet pressure: 1,8bar - 10bar (dimensions table)
  • Min. temperature: 0 °C (water 0,5 °C)
  • Max. temperature: 110 °C
  • Form and testing designed acc. to standard ISO 4216-1

Medium:
Heating water purity in accordance to ÖNORM H 5195 and VDI- Standard 2035. The use of ethylene, or propylene glycol in a mixing ratio of 25- 50% is allowed. EPDM gaskets will be affected by mineral oils lubricants and thus lead to failure of the EPDM seals. Please refer to the manufacturer’s documentation when using ethylene glycol products for frost and corrosion protection.
The safety valve is used as a safety device for central heating boilers. It protects the boiler and connected pipework against excessive pressure. The valve opens automatically when the set pressure is reached.

During normal operation, an increase in temperature causes the system medium to expand, resulting in a rise in internal pressure.
When the pressure exceeds the permissible value, the valve’s spring-loaded closing mechanism is activated and the valve opens. The medium is discharged through the outlet until the pressure is reduced to a safe level, after which the valve automatically reseats.
The inlet size of the safety valve must be selected according to the thermal output of the system being protected.

The discharge pipe connected to the safety relief valve shall be installed in a manner that does not impair valve operation and prevents any risk of damage or personal injury. The discharged medium must be safely conveyed away using suitable pipework.
In accordance with applicable regulations, the discharge from the safety relief valve shall be visible and directed to an appropriate collection or drain point.
For valves with lower discharge capacities, the installation of a tundish directly in the discharge line is recommended (see Image A). For higher discharge capacities, the discharge arrangement shall be designed accordingly, ensuring unrestricted flow and safe discharge (see Image B).
