Material:
HERZ uses an extremely durable thermal and acoustic insulation composite made of polyamide reinforced with specially treated glass fibers (PA6 30% GF). The material features excellent temperature resistance and thermal insulation properties, which significantly reduce condensation in the cooling system.
Operating conditions:
- Maximum operating pressure (without flowmeter): 6 bar
- Maximum allowable temperature (without flowmeter): 60 °C
- Minimum operating temperature: -5 °C
Medium:
The manifolds are suitable for use with heating water in accordance with standards ÖNORM H5195 and VDI 2035. Use of ethylene or propylene glycol in concentrations of 25–50% is permitted, provided manufacturer recommendations are followed. EPDM seals are not resistant to mineral oils, so their use in such systems is limited. The composite manifold for underfloor heating is not suitable for use with aggressive media (e.g., acids, alkalis, flammable and explosive gases) as these can damage sealing components.
Connections:
- Manifold inlet: external thread G1-1/2" (to ISO 228-1)
- Outputs for heating circuits: push fit 16 mm
- Number of heating circuits: from 2 to 12
Built-in components:
- Flowmeter: 2.4 L/min or up to 8 L/min (depending on model)
- Thermostatic valves on the return side (depending on model)
- Air vent valves for removing air from the system
- Drain valves G1/2" for emptying the system
- Mounting brackets for wall or cabinet installation
Drain valves:
A drain valve with thread G3/4 is fitted on the supply and return manifolds. A hose connection can be used additionally. The valve spindle is operated with a special key (turn counter-clockwise to open, clockwise to close).

Flowmeter:
Hydraulic balancing is performed by adjusting the flowmeter valves installed on the return manifold. Flowmeter valves must be fully open at the start of balancing. A specific water flow is assigned to each heating circuit and serves as the basis for balancing. Use the supplied adjusting key to rotate the valve clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired/calculated flow value is reached. The set flow rate can be read directly at the inspection glass. Because individual circuit flow values influence each other, a second pass may be necessary. After regulation is finished, secure the locking cover. Flowmeter valves are available in variants up to max. 2.4 l/min (standard) and 8 l/min.
NOTE: Flowmeter valves are NOT shut-off devices! Unfilled heating circuits must be closed with a cap at the outlet.
Thermostatic valves M28x1.5:
They open by spring action and can be closed with a protective cap, manual head or thermo actuator. Protective caps are fitted as mechanical protection during installation and must be replaced after system start-up with appropriate electric or mechanical actuators. Thermostatic heads can be fitted with manual head 1 9102 80 or thermo actuators, ordered separately. Thermo actuators are available in 24V or 230V, NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open). Actuators can be controlled via a room thermostat or wireless control. Room controllers and wireless control are described in separate datasheets.
Note: Thermostatic valves and flowmeters are not shut-off valves. Empty heating circuits must be closed with a cap at the outlet.

Air vent:
An air vent valve is fitted on the supply and return rail. Valves can be operated with the HERZ universal key (1 6625 00).

Mounting brackets:
HERZ manifolds can be mounted with the supplied brackets directly to the wall or into a cabinet. Mounting position is optional.
Compatibility:
Manifolds are compatible with all HERZ components, including HERZ PIPEFIX adapters, shut-off and ball valves. We recommend using HERZ shut-off valves for optimal system performance.
